Oslo is not at all anymore the homogeneous northern capital, but like the other Scandinavian countries, experienced waves of Middle Eastern and East Asian immigrants. I assume that part of the attraction is the very generous government welfare support.

As I was traveling around Europe I had already heard of the amazing Oslo City Hall, and it sure lived up to its reputation. Here is the entrance. It's what you do on long winter nights, drink and paint.
